Saint Vincent Martyr,
a Roman Catholic community where all are welcome and belong,
is growing our faith in Jesus Christ,
and personally moved by the Spirit,
is bringing love, mercy, compassion and justice into the world.
Why do we exist, what do we believe, what is our “so that”, what do we hope is the end result of our work and what do we want for our people.
Each of us is called to reflect on how we can support the mission of Jesus Christ as it is lived out at Saint Vincent Martyr. Our vison statement will help us to remain focused on and faithful to that mission. The support of the mission is to be found in the sacrifice of time, talent and treasure that we are willing to make to help realize the vision. Our prayer, participation and generosity are the means through which we grow into the future.
Embedded within our vision statement are the five characteristics of a dynamic disciple which are to believe in the teachings of our faith, to gather as a community especially for worship, to grow in our relationship with God Father, Son, and Spirit, to love others as Christ has loved us and to lead others to an encounter with the Lord Jesus.
This expression of why we exist as a community of faith and what is our purpose as disciples of Jesus Christ will hopefully inspire us to continue to grow into the Church God is calling us to be.
Pray for our parish that we may hold the vision well in our continued efforts to share the love of Jesus Christ in prayer, ministry, education and service.
